Pungent nose filled with spicy hoppy notes of grapefruit, pink candy, pine needles and orange rind. Flavour follows the nose with a strong residual hop astringency in the finish that doesnít throw this well-balanced IPA off kilter. Very tasty, well-hopped brew.

Bottle from Beer Ritz, Leeds. Vivid golden pour with a nice white head. Big hoppy snout with plenty of tropical fruit notes that promised good things. The flavour duly delivered with the citra hops singing from the rooftops in tandem with juicy citrus and a little balancing sweet malt. Robust bitter finish. This ticked a lot of boxes for me.Top class.... Citra hops are the bomb.

66cl Bottle at UDRBM, from deeblo, thanks a lot Bruce! Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of huge Citra hops, citrus, tropical fruits, light ammonia, almost cloying. Flavour of very fresh citrus, crisp malts, zingy tropical fruits, lovely hoppy bitter finish. Great smooth IPA, of Kernel quality.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle at UDRBM. Clear golden pour. Aroma full of tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine, some resin and loads of floral hops. Flavor is even better, quite bitter and full of lovely hops. Amazing brew. Would love this as a session ale.

Cask at the Waggon & Horses,Halesowen(West Midlands).
This is one of those times where everything comes together just right.Perfectly brewed beer which has been left in the cellar to mature and improve. Then served at just the right temperature.A quick couple of "ticks" from two of the other 13 pumps and then onto an afternoon on this beauty.
This is the enhanced and stronger version of the Citra.
Pours a hazy golden colour with a creamy white head with good retention.
The tastes are grapefruit, pineapple, lemon and now pine too.An underlying hoppy bitterness carries on from start to finish in this oily and juicy offering.Hardly notice the 6% on the first 3 or 4,only when its time to leave;now where that No.9 Bus stop?? Its moved!!!

Had a night off the black after two on the Guinness. I was expecting big things from this. Everyone today has enjoyed it although they were in Aston and Iím on The Edge. Not the guitarist from U2, heís mates with Bono and if Bono ever comes here Iíll give him a word or two. I hate U2 as much as I hate Coldplay. Iím going to change my name to Chalky Tits. Whatís that? Something needed about Green? Peter Green, genius, check out Man of the World.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2013 Comes in a 660 ml bottle and is excellent value. This has been my favourite beer of the last few months. The aroma is very powerful citrus fruits, grapefruit & mango. Very hoppy. Feels great in the mouth with good strong carbonation and a nice crisp bitter finish. This is surely one of the very best British IPAís out there. Superb

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2013 Aroma: Stunning, powerful aroma of pineapple, lemon, passionfruit and mango, with subtle grassy, resin and biscuit notes. Slight soapy hint. I canít wait to taste this.
Appearance: Slightly hazy, golden body with a large, fluffy white head that holds reasonably well. Little yeast particles floating around once the full bottle is poured. Lively carbonation. Lots of sticky lacing.
Taste: Lovely juicy tropical fruit flavours. Very hoppy and refreshing - I love the Citra hop and this showcases it perfectly. Not a great deal of malt character, but who cares? This is amazing. Bitter, slightly peppery finish and barely a hint of its 6.0% ABV.
Palate: Medium body with a sleek, oily texture. Nice carbonation fizz.
Overall: Wow, wow, wow! An utterly brilliant beer - probably the best I have ever tasted. Itís so good that after trying it for the first time (in bottle) I ordered 10 more online. Itís incredible on cask, too. For me, it is a stronger, hoppier, turbo-charged version of the (also amazing) Jarl by Fyne Ales.
