Although not a dreadful beer this is sure to be a disappointment if u purchase with the rate beer consensus in mind. Pours dark straw, with practically no head. Aroma is recessed and lacking punch, of what is there is citrus pith, marmalade and citrus blossom and slight noble highlights. Taste is one dimensional and fleeting, containing very little in the way of malt and a watered down Citra character. Finish is dry with a a just above average citrus zest bitterness.

Clean golden pour, sudsy small head. Aroma is orange, lemon, grapefruit, earthy spicy hop, a little pine as it warms. Unfortunately carries a little skunk in its bouquet. Low carbonation, fairly light unrewarding mouth-feel. Taste is pithy orange, tart grapefruit, earthy notes, a little skunk. Has a commendable dry orange-marmalade bitter finish. My main complaint is that it is bereft of discernible malt. Itís like a blow to the head without a head-guard to offer cushioning.

Golden colour. Some pine and orange and grapefruit, with rich pithy bitterness. Lots of marmaladey hop in the finish - sticky/chewy.

Trafford Arms. Yellow beer with a stingey white head. Packed full of punchy citrus lemony hops - this has a nice flavour, but I found it rather one dimensional. Thin body, weak carbonation.

Cask @The Malt and Hops, Leith. Pours light golden with a thin white head. Nose of grass, lemon, pineapple and grapefruit, really fruity on the nose, taste is along the same lines full of flavour. This is not a complex beer and that is the greatness of it, traditional English/British style IPA done very very well.

1l from growler beers uk. always a bit flat but thatís not oakhamís fault. skunky, mango, citrus with a bite, not too oily/resinous and doesnít completely overpower with ibus, another great offering to their lineup. appearing in bottles soon at a ******** near me?

Golden beer with a floral citrus aroma. Flavour is grapefruit but thereís a sweeter flavour in there too. Finish is dry and hoppy. Very, very nice.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2014 Cask in the Farmerís Boy, St Albans. Very pale amber almost no head. Nose is a light fragrant delight. Nose is light tangerine, fresh cut flowers, guava, slight grain husk, dry straw, fresh greeness. Taste is fresh cut plants or flowers, tangerine and light grapefruit citrous, mild hop acids, guava. This is a delicate delight. 4 Re-rate in Tap East. Lovely pale amber, thin light foam head. Nose is lemon and grapefruit, cut plants, tropical guava, grain husk, some bitter grapefruit. Taste is light with a beautifully touch oily body and then guava, grapefruit and lemon. Light, yet oily, floral and citrous bitter. Beautiful. 4.1
