500ml bottle. Clear, very orangey, golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Hoppy aroma delivers the whole range of citrusy flavours, lemon, mandarine, orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, all juicy and zesty; additionally some gooseberry, biscuity malty background. Taste is crisp bitter and citrusy hoppy, passion fruit predominates the bunch of all the other flavours mentioned above. Very fine.

Pour is clear pale straw with a persistent clean white cap. Nose is cereal and honey, apple, piney and grassy hops, faint citrus. Taste is a sweet, sugary pale malt with a great lingering bitter kick and finish. This based on a few stolen sips, but Iíll be picking some of this up for myself.

500ml bottle purchased at the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Clear gold in colour with a thin white head, little lacing. The aroma is of light citrus, light malts, light tropical fruits. The flavour has some pine, a bit floral, citrus, bread. Finishes long, bitter.

Bottle: Poured a dark orangey color ale with a nice large pure white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of green grassy hops with some citrusy bitter notes. Taste is dominated by light grassy notes with some citrusy hops, some residual sugar and a bitter finale. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable but maybe a tad more bitter then I would have like.

Pours clear gold with an initial head that fades to nothing, and no lacing. Not much to look at. Nose is a bit Apple juice with some grapefruit in there. Flavours are a pretty big grapefruit hit, some lighter fruit like unripe mango. Taste med bitter light sweet. Medium body low/med csrbonation with a long lasting agressive bitterness.

R4N5H (409) - SINGAPORE - MAR 27, 2015
500ml bottle at The Mad Poet, Singapore on 19/03/15. I thought I would try this - like a kid in a shop, I was attracted first by the label and secondly by the fact that an IPA brewed in Peterborough had made it across to Singapore. It did feel that it had travelled either too far or too slowly. Nice golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of fruit and hops - some lemon and tropical fruits. Very thinly carbonated - almost flat. Light level of bitterness - heavy sweet fruit flavours (mango, citrus) downplay the hops.

Bottle from the LCBO. Crystal clear pale gold with a small white head. Strong tropical fruit nose with mango and papaya and some floral notes. Light sweet caramel base leading to medium bitter middle and finish with grapefruit emerging. Medium light oily mouth with average carbonation. Seems a little thin. Nice, but not as good as the Bellwoods Citra Monogamy I had this week.

500 mL bottle. Clear gold pour with a medium semi foamy white head. Strong tropical fruit, though not the usual grapefruit, more so of the pineapple. Taste is big on the citric hop bitterness, grass and biscuit flavours. Nice balance.

Looking for an IPA that stands out from the crowd? This is the one to try. What makes it different? The typical IPA tropes (big bitterness, the pine etc) are dropped for a single hop exploration. Forget grapefruit notes, Iím getting papaya, Caribbean style mango, strong doses of fried apricot & an odd element I canít explain -- a reviewer below calls it "fruit mold" (forgive his/her American misspelling of mould) & that comes close but not quite it. I love single Citra hopped Brews -- Great Lakes Karma Citra is the clear best & I will trade you to prove it -- & this one is so distinct. Iíd absolutely love to try this fresh and/or on tap. Iíve drank a wide variety of IPAs this March (its research in need of funding) & while this ainít the best itís the most perplexing & unique by far. Will return to the store for more.

500 ml bottle at the Salhojankadun Pub, Tampere, Finland.
Clear golden colour with a small white head. Fruity and piney hops, caramel malt and some toffee sweetness in the aroma. Fruity and piney hops, moderate bitterness and caramel malt in the flavour. Bitterness and sweetness in the aftertaste. Not bad.
