Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear yellow with a frothy white head. Lemony hops in the nose, some dough. Light sweet flavor with mellow, doughy pale malts, straw, lemon, general citrus rind bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Great condition. Lightly drying in the finish with further dry dough, hay, some grains, lemon. Lovely. Super drinkable.

Cask at Farmers Boy, St Albans, Herts. A pale gold coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus fruit, some grapefruit, a little thin but not bad for 3.6%.

cask@Pelt Trader, London - golden pour with small white head. Subtle citrus hoppy aroma and taste, some floral and grass nuances, nice sweet/bitter balance here. Nice drop.

Cask conditioned handpump Criterion Leicester 15/11/13. A pale, almost straw coloured beer with a white bubbly head and lace. Sharp hops with bitter lemon notes. A sour edge I get from green hop beers which I really don;t like. Cordially. Not my thing. Worst Oakham Experience EVER.

Cask, The Criterion, Leicester. Pale gold with a bubbly foam. Aromas are toast and lemon with traces of lime. Bready yeast with sweet and sour green apple. Light grapefruit with low pine. Flavours are dry biscuit with peanut lager malts and stewed apple. Bitter lemon with some pithy grapefruit. Dry on the finish with floral, grassy notes. A very light, easy drinking session brew.

Tap East Birthday Bash. Clear pale gold beer with a small white head. Palate is light and smooth, modest carbonation. Very light malt cream with a touch of nuttyness. Equally light citrus then a light dry finish. All very light and polite.

Theydon_Bois (17245) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2013
Cask at the Craft, Clerko, 25/10/13. Clear pale blond with a moderately sized white head. Nose is citric fruit, lemon sherbet, grassy, soft bread dough. Taste comprises orange, grass, light hop billing, lemon sherbet, lightly toasted malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy finale. Decent enough but not much depth, I expect more flavour from an Oakham Golden Blond - they are pretty much the ones to look up to in this style!

Scopey (12712) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 25, 2013
Cask at Craft Clerkenwell. It pours pale with a medium white head. The nose is hay, doughy, light floral, hay, grass and soft peach. The taste is crisp, leaf, grass, floral, smooth bitterness, grapefruit, white grape and zesty lime with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth, crisp and drinkable, but perhaps not Oakham’s finest.
