3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at the farmers boy st Albans. Clear bright pale golden coloured pour with a lasting creamy white head. Aroma is nice fresh grains, straw, sharp lemon, nice floral note. Flavour is semi crisp grains, straw, light earthy honey. Hops are fruity citrus, midget fem, floral and a assertive grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Palate is beautifully conditioned, light and refreshing. Lovely stuff. Wish I ordered a pint now.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
smells citrus and grass, golden amber colour body with no head, quite a sharp chalky citrus flavour, not bad if not a bit watery, tastes stronger than it is

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at Wellington, Brum. Unexpectedly good. A strange thing to say, as Oakham are amazing, but I guess I thought the low abv would hold it back. In fact, the flavour packs a wallop, bigger than 3.9%. Revived a jaded palate.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint at the Nags Head in Reading. Golden, with a fine bubbly foam head. Dry, bitter, light grapefruit, tasty. Grapefruit aroma, but not over the top. Very dry aftertaste, but still manages to slip down well. A good English (albeit American influenced) golden ale.
