Clear golden pour with a frothy white head. Hop citrus aroma. Refreshing citrus hop flavour. Fruity ale. Thin body but a very refreshing ale.

Pale golden pour with a thick white head. There is a bright floral aroma and some spicy aroma as well. Bright citrus and some light fruitiness along with some citrus. A bit of nice fruit and some soft pepper as well as some herbal/floral flavour. Pretty nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy golden pour with white head that isn’t tall but sticks around nicely. Very light nose. Some tropical fruit. Not much else really. Nah, a little biscuit too. Light on the palate as well, but not as light. What little fruit there is is bright and punchy but that’s really all there is going on. Very easy going stuff. Unexciting but palatable.

Nice light pale ale, good summer drinking. Some vanilla wood vibes in aroma, grain and malt and lemon joining them in the taste, moderate bitterness and dryness. Good.

Very pale straw in colour with a thin, but long lasting white head. Lovely fruity nose...loads of hops, these are also evident on the palate, which is clean and has a long lingering finish. Cracking stuff, and certainly a repeat buy! B&M, £1.19, I think!

Tap at the Waggon and Horses, Halesowen. Poured a light straw yellow colour with a broken white head, The flavour is medium bitter grassy hop with some bitter liqourice on the palate.

Pours a soft and clean straw yellow with a thin and weak white head. Nose is soft with some subtle fruity notes and bready malt. Get diacetyl and light peachy notes as well. Very bitter in the flavor and on the finish. Astringent. Diacetyl shows more than I like but is probably appropriate for the style. Diacetyl becomes too much for me as it warms up, tastes like something turned.....
Some fruity esters on the finish and a touch grainy. Meh.

Yellow coloured ale with a very small head. Full fruity aroma with grapefruit evident. The taste is just as fruity.

My Bottom Line:
This silky Golden Ale develops citrus fruit over hay-like cereals for a compelling summer quencher.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam laces nicely around the clear golden.
-Delicate hop resins balance out the finish with their bitterness.
-The natural carbonation and intelligent hop dosage make for supreme drinkability.
-This may not be the most memorable brew in their lineup, but it’s still a world-class hoppy golden ale. How’s that for talent?
On cask at The Cambridge Blue.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cask@Barton Arms, Aston. Golden beer with a medium frothy head. Aroma is hoppy pine resin. The taste is citrus, pine resin, pepper and some sharp bitterness. Reminds me of an IPA. Excellent beer with a touch of heat.
