A golden beer whose aroma is dominated by hops that give characteristic citrus notes. Hops and fruit on the palate are balanced by malt and a bitter base. Dry hoppy finish with soft fruit flavors. A nationally respected ale, winner of numerous awards, JHB is a blond baby packed with flavour & perfect for those long sessions as well as a quick pint at lunchtime. Bottled, 0.50l. Pours slightly hazy deep straw with small frothy white head and lively bubbles. Aroma of fresh floral hops, citrus and some tropical fruits. Taste starts fresh grainy, then followed by rich fruity notes. Mouthfeel is crisp and dry, while aftertaste is pleasant moderate bitter. Medium to full body, slick texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Absolute winner when I compare low alcohol volume and very rich taste...

On cask at The Bartons Arms, pours a clear yellow with a small white bubbly head. Aroma of light floral notes, subtle English hops, and some slight citrus. Flavour brings out lemony notes, some light cereal notes, and light floral hops. Pretty light and weak, but inoffensive on the palate. Decent, drinkable stuff.

Colore oro. Schiuma bianca, aderente. Aroma fresco di agrumi e frutta. Nel palato molto equilibrata con un attacco maltato, bene supportato dalla luppolatura e da un finale secolo. Sentori retro olfattivi agrumati e floreali. Corpo leggero.

Bottle at Beer O’clock II, Bucharest, Romania. Hazy amber with a minimal white ring. Very hoppy aroma: mango, passion fruit puree’ and toffee. Tastes bitter, chewy with a hint of sour. Light-to-medium body, nettle-like finish and very carbonated, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2013 A very pale blond bitter with a thin and light head. There are clear hoppy aroma but there is not a strong bitterness, there are various subtle flavours to this beer but none seem to enhance the classic bitter style, instead they mellow the flavour and make this a pleasant hoppy session ale.

Soft pineapple and rice cracker nose, with a clear and still very pale yellow body and no head to speak of. Very stealthy initial taste, watery and soft over diluted hop with more pineapple vibe, with a few chunks of mango creeping into the middle. Little road bump of malt as the melony vibe continues to a dry tang but an equally soft finish as the start.</br> Supremely drinkable in an unengaging and inoffensive way.

I have nothing to say which is a good job as I can’t get a word in. Even if I could I wouldn’t know what to say. I ordered an American Hardcore collection last night, Black Flag, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, that kind of thing. I’ll let you know what it’s like. Hardcore with an American accent I’d imagine.
