500ml bottle. Pours cloudy gold with very little head. Mild aroma hides very heavy hops with an immediate sourness that gives way to a long bitter finish. Huge amounts of citrus with some tropical fruit. Dry, refreshing and hugely enjoyable.

Cask in the Globe, Guisborough. Golden beer with a white head. A nice & refreshing beer with a good citrus blast on the finish. A decent blond, but still a blond.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
No no no! This doesn’t look good at all! Very pale, watery-looking, slightly hazy yellow body, with a small, short-lived white head. Ok aroma with sweet fruits, lemon, lime and pale malts. Some sweetness in the taste as well, followed by a light to moderate bitter finish. Moderate flavours that are fruity with citric notes, also some butterscotch in the back. Dry texture, light body, moderate carbonation. Plain and boring. No wonder I wasn’t that interested in beer in 1999 and 2001 if this was the best one could get hold of those days.

Cask at Bow Bar, Edinburgh. Pours pale yellow with thick, creamy white head, good lacing. Nose is light hay, light malt, light lemon. Taste is light bitter. Palate a bit thin, but an enjoyable pint nonetheless.

500ml bottle into an English pint glass. Pours a hazy golden colour with a fluffy, quickly-dissipating white head. Light fruity aroma, with some toffee flavouring and a slight dry hoppiness. A bit sticky on the palate. Light, crisp and refreshing.

500 ml bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits. Pours a clear golden yellow with small white head. Aroma is some gently sweet fruit, cereal grains and tea-like herbal character. Flavour is fruity and grainy with earthy, herbal hops and a hint of mineraliness in finish. Pleasant.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 13, 2013 Cask @ Old Sun, Harlington. Yellow gold. Sunshine. Faint aroma of bitter citrus hops. Taste is on the money: complex malt and hop flavours. Moreish bitter finish. A good beer that benefits from decent cellarmanship.
