3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 17, 2013 A very pale blond bitter with a thin and light head. There are clear hoppy aroma but there is not a strong bitterness, there are various subtle flavours to this beer but none seem to enhance the classic bitter style, instead they mellow the flavour and make this a pleasant hoppy session ale.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
4.2% ABV. Blonde Beer.
Light frothy head that is shortlived.
Nose is light, beery (thanks to the wheat) and carbonated. Almost likely putting our nose to sparkling lemonade.
Full-bodied ale with wheat and barley showing through. It has nice bright moments where the wheaty part of it’s pedigree peeks through, not unlike a nice witbier. The bitter hops dominate on the front end of the palate and bow out politely to leave the palate clean, uncluttered and ready for another mouthful of this refreshing ale. This is not a confusing or darkly complex ale, it has no airs about it, giving you it’s clean frank flavors and then stepping aside to quietly allow you to make up your mind.
Quite the well thought out experience. Kudos to the fine folks at Oakham for putting something so approachably affable. Very nice indeed.

Shared by martjoobolut, thanks! Clear golden beer, small white head, filmy retention. Both the nose and the flavor have biscuity malt, mild caramel hints, grapefruit. Decent bitterness in the finish. This bottle is showing it’s age, could use a rerate.

Cask. Clear yellow with a medium sized good lacing white head. Soap, candy, grain, hay, light dry flowers in the finish. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, light/medium sweet and bitter. Long light dry and bitter finish. Pretty good balance and lots to offer for the low abv.
