Tap East Brewpub. Collaboration with Oakham? Clear amber beer, little white head. Sweetish creamy malt, a tiny bit nutty. Mild citrus hops. Smooth finish. Nice take on the style.

Cask conditioned handpump Criterion Leicester 21/11/12. A mid brown coloured beer with an off-white bubbly head. Really biscuity with odd fruits. Chewy. Harshly odd with a weird melange of flavours. Just a bit bizarre.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Keller style apparently, and does have the grainy, cereal malt, with bitter, slight sweet and pepper finish. Very good bitter. Amber colour, lacing, ale smell.

Cask, Slug & Lettuce, Leicester. Dark brown, copper with a thin foam. Aromas are burnt toffee with gritty cocoa and mixed earthy red berries. Woody, creamy oak with floral notes and medicinal, herbal notes. Spiced tea with hints of liquorice. Flavours are toffee and berries with dry tea and earthy, spicy hops. Hints of dark chocolate with some nuttiness. Dry on the finish with a light, fruit bitterness. Decent.
