Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 16/11/12. Lightly hazed mid golden with a good bubbly white head that retains well. Nose comprises hops, light caramel malts, tropical fruit notes. Tastes of light floral hops, caramel malt, orange, sugars. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a bitter sweet finish.

[cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh] Clear golden pour – after a few of their beers at the Cloisters tap takeover I’m beginning to get the Oakham house flavour, I think. They seem to love the dry, floral hops that also give a burst of tropical fruit. Although Mom’s Gold has a bit more of the dryness about it, there’s also plenty of that citrus element throughout. Doesn’t taste 5%, either [19102012]

Cask - The Plasterers Arms, Norwich. Poured with a small though lasting & lacing white to off-white head on top of a clear amber body. Subtle peach & tangerine aromas. Sweet strawberry, peach & tangerine hop flavours with an OK hop finish. Medium body, soft, frim & chewy palate texture, medium length bitterness at the end. Distinctly Oakham & another good use of hops but not my favourite offering to date from the brewery.

Cask at The Rake, 30th Dec 2010. Hazy orange, no head. A mess of marmalade, toffee and cold tea. Okay orangey finish but overall a real disappointment given who the brewery is!
