A strong golden summer ale, brewed to be light on the palate but overflowing with flavor.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2016 Cask, Chelmsford Ale House, 20th January 2015. Typically golden ale. Grapefruit, lemons, some slight petrol, quite tough on drinkability Think this got hot in transit as it isn’t what it should be. Considerable off-flavours which I rarely get from Oakham. Hmmm. another cask at Chelmsford AleHouse...this time on spectacular form.. White lacing. Golden appearance. Dropped bright. Lots of tangerines, mangos, soft malts, marmalade, excellent bitterness. Super clean. Great yeast. Yeah Oakham awesomeness again. Brilliant

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Sweet, floral, hoppy aroma with honey and malt. Grassy hop taste and sweet fruit: blackberries and raspberries. Mid to low bitterness. Utterly delicious.

A Mes rate: Cask at the Wenlock. Beautiful golden brown colour with a slight white head. Nose of amyl nitrate, slight alcohol and tonnes of grapefruit hoppage. LOVELY. More citric hops in the flavour with just a lick of malt in the finish for balance. Excellent mouthfeel. Tasty tasty tasty!

Hand pulled at Out of the Vaults, Leicester. Golden beer, loosely frothed head. Another very good hoopy beer from Oakham. Juicy, citric aqua flow through the mouth. High pitchyed in the centre of the tongue, with a little bit of malt grain to finish. Good. Yes.

A mid golde to orange coloured beer with a thick white head. A light, hoppy aroma, loads of citrus fruit, particularly lemon. The taste is dry, hoppy, floral and zesty, lemony citrus fruit flavours. The finish is dry and citrusy. (Cask - The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk).

On cask at The Three Fishes in Shrewsbury. Deep gold in colour with a minimal head. No obvious typical upfront Oakham aromas, quite subtle. Mellow on the palate with a creamy, buttery taste, reminiscent of Sorachi Ace. A bit different for an Oakham beer.
