4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask conditioned at Merton Winter Beer Fest 09. Straw colour with white head. Wow, the star of the show, beautiful hoppy notes, lemon, tangy fresh and very bitter, tart. There is a light crisp malt background as a carrier, but this is, as Oakham beers often are, about the hop. Excellent.

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival 6th and 7th Feb 2009 Pours a light straw colour with lovely white bubbly head. Taste is quite lovely, some cooked lemons, in fact its like the preserved lemons that you get in a Morrocan Tagine. There is also a great grapefruit pithiness there, its juicy and clean. Nice stringy bitterness, nicely dry, really refreshing. I love this stuff and think it will be the first to sell out, lets put it this way I’ve recommended this to a few people and they’ve all loved it A7 A5 F8 P4 OV16 4.0
