4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Waitrose. I normally like Oakham’s beers, and this was no exception. Bright amber in colour, fruity hoppy nose. Summer fruits and a lingering bitterness. Great level of carbonation - not too fizzy. Cracking beer. Must buy more.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear, dull amber pour with a yellowish head of average disposition, that sticks around for a goodly amount of time. Pineapple and other tropical fruit dominate the nose with a wet caramel back. Could be more intense. Medium body with a nice mouthfeel and light bitterness in the finish. Slightly tart tropical flavours.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Waitrose. Copper coloured, thin white head. Aroma of ripe raspberries. Then it goes a bit downhill. Taste is bitter, burnt caramel. Overly sweet. Not my thing really.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours golden and clear, big bubbles but not many if them. Nose is a good blend of citrusy hops and biscuity malt. Taste is clean and fruity, strawberry, pineapple orange, but very hoppy, a touch caustic. Enjoyable but slightly off.

Light copper in colour with a very thin head. Sweet syrupy malt aroma and extremely bitter.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
From the commercial description on the actual bottle, I expected a big hoppy hit but am disappointed - dull aroma, flat (typical of English Ale) and mediocre palate. Not thirst quenching. Dull and uninspiring. Unpleasant mouthfeel afterwards.

4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled from Glug Newcastle. This is stunning. Beautiful tropical fruit aroma and flavour, soft semi sweet palate with light caramel. Peppery traces give a fine tang at the back of the throat and there’s warmth in the finish. Lovely amber colour, one of my favourites this year.

Yummy mummy. Tart resin citrus flavours. Medium body but complexity makes this a bit more of a heavy weight than first sip belies.Zingy ending that lasts and then breaks into a pleasing bitterness.
