Craft Clerkenwell. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is light with very modest carbonation. Mild creamy malt. Now then - fresh Cox apples but the beer doesn’t taste appley in that Granny Smith sort of way beers often do when they are too green. Very subtle orange underneath. Finishes neutral. Strange one this - appears to be green without really fully fitting the profile. Quite enjoyed it!

Cask gravity, The Crown, Nuneaton, 15/12/12. Burnished orange amber- dusky for oakham- with a thin, intricately lacing head. Just-peeled satsuma, grapefruit aroma, maybe cardamom, with good sweaty citrus hop. Soft mellow orange flesh fruit paired with biscuit. Soft tropical hints; almond, boozy trifle. Good.

Cask, Slug & Lettuce, Leicester. Amber gold with a bubbly foam. Aromas are toast malts with marmalade and hints of blackberry with earthy, herbal liquorice notes. Spicy with low pine and grapefruit. Flavours are juicy malts with bittersweet lemon and oranges. Pithy grapefruit. Floral and medicinal with nettle leafiness. Dry and woody to finish. Very nice.
