Tasting notes from 2004 Banbury beer festival. Golden, cloudy, with lasting white head. Citrus, floral, and grass aroma. Citrus, earthy, and hop bitter finish. The wheat was very mild.

Aug 13, 2008 Tap @ Brew wharf. Clear golden color, short white head. Aroma of citrus, lemon, some hop. Sweet sour lemon taste, decent bitter finish. On the brink of dishwashing water, but the hops keep it on the good side.

Aug 11, 2008 Cask (Guide Dog,Southampton) - Pale golden in colour. Citric and hoppy aroma with tangy grapefruit. Refreshing taste with hops and grapefruit and a tangy and hoppy finish. Very nice.

Apr 1, 2008 Cask, The Tap, Peterborough. Thin, still, pale and haloed with white. Loads of grapefruity tang, grainy malt, and similar single hop zest to the Crouch Vale. Citrussy snout with a wring of dishcloth. Lemony, fresh, leafy and all that. A bit tiring.

Nov 23, 2007 Hazy greenish to golden pale yellow. Rocky white 1cm head. Flowery, grainy, one-dimensional ale that assumes it nicely and screams of brewing skills through its tremendous freshness and nicely growing dryness, slowly overtaking the graininess and leading you into drinkability wonderland. The allusions keep showing up in mouth, but you may be imagining them just because you enjoy the moment… grainy, lemony, leafy, milky… Medium body feels cracker like, gently effervescent. Beautiful freshness.
