Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. This was a real cracker: copper amber, sweet fruity aroma. Sweet malt taste with luscious spiced fruits and a mid bitter finish. The flavours combined beautifully. More beers should be like this.

Another incipit one but it was different style a little more gassy. Perhaps the foam wa good it formed some spots.

Cask- A beautiful and incredibly inviting aroma of pineapples and other tropical fruits await you as you initially encounter this beer. The taste is fairly hoppy and citrussy with grapefruit being particularly noticeable. This is one of the best single hop beers I have ever had. Beautiful.

Thick foamy head. Pours an amber coloured beer. Nose if soapy and has notes of flowers, lemon and grapefruits. The body is really held together well, nicely balanced. Taste is sweet with the hops (cascade) being restrained and poised to compliment the aftertaste. A really refreshing beer Pale Ale. I’d have this one again and again.

Cask: New Forest Hotel, Ashurst which, as it happens, is in the New Forest. A good orange/copper colour with a lightish off white head. A nutty/pine aroma invites you to take a sip. First taste was pure ecstasy - mind you, I was gagging for a pint. A lovely nuttiness combined with floral notes and the slightest touch of citrus. A slight creaminess in the mouth and a lingering nutty bitterness on the palate. Altogether, a very nice pint.

Cask, Far From The Madding Crowd, Oxford. Copper, smallish white head. Berries, rustic caramel, red earth. Soft friendly sweet mal, some créme brûlée, berry hop bitterness, sweet biscuit exhale. Walks right up to the line of too sweet and too bell-toned, but doesn’t cross. Have to say: I’m really surprised this has Cascades...

(Cask at GBBF, London, 9 Aug 2007) Golden yellow colour with creamy white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus and grapefruit, floral notes of hops. Fruity taste with citrus (grapefruit, lemon) and a long, slightly sweet finish with lots of citrussy hops. Nice hop character.
