Oakleaf Hole Hearted

Cask @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is light malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, pine, citrus, lemon. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

Cask@GBBF2007. Yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is big time flowery hops along with wood, some butter and also slight sour fruits. Flavour is hops, grass, some buttery notes and slight spices. 5 3 5 3 10

Cask@GBBF2008. Hazy pale golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruits, hops, mild spices as well as some wood and grass. Flavour is grass, fruits, spices, yeast and mild notes of yeast. 7 3 7 3 14.

Cask at GBBF 2007. Poured a real amber gold colour. Smooth white creamy head and lovely aromas and fruity. A very good beer.

Cask@GBBF07. Aroma of sweet malts, flowers and light grassy. Yellow color, white head, good lace. Sweet citrus, fruity, light bitter, grassy, soft mouthfeel. Refreshing and high drinkability.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at GBBF. Amber coloured with a slight head. Hoppy and floral all round with some delicate gingery spicy notes. Fairly one dimensional but jolly tasty with it.

Bottle. Golden orange with a small head. Aromas are sweet hops with lemon and apricot fruitiness. Some floral, spicy notes. Flavours are sweet, floral and hoppy with sticky citrus fruit. Some spices follow with a fruity bitter finish.

Deep gold and slightly cloudy. Very nice hop aroma is complemented excellently by fruits such as banana and pineapple. This tasty hop/fruit character extends to the flavour as well, with the medley of fruit accents making Hole Hearted seem like a brewers interpretation of an oaked fruit punch. The bitter hop finish leaves an excellent final impression.

Bottle from Real Ale, Twickenham Lovely golden ale, fine use of cascade hops. Some wheat in it, lovely flowery notes, more bitter than most English golden ales. Good stuff!
