thebeertourist (2750), Oslo, Norway Dec 1, 2006 Bottle from Real Ale. Hazy amber with a medium-sized foam. Nice citrus and caramel aroma with hints of dough. Good bitterness and citrus flavours from the cascade hops, but also some balancing earthiness. Light bodywithout feeling watery. Nice
ladnewton (200), London, Greater London, England Oct 18, 2009 Cask at the Hole In The Wall, Southsea, UK on 16th October 2009. Gold with offwhite head of foam giving some lacing. Stongly pungent aromatic and bitter. Pleasant hop touch with some citric notes (lemon mainly) and hoppy grassiness. Malt more evident in the finish. A very well-balanced, well-crafted ale. wheresthepath (523), Buckinghamshire, England Oct 2, 2009 [500ml bottle from Tesco’s, Portsmouth] Pours amber-gold with a half-hearted white head and a fizzy appearance (fortunately the fizz was far milder in the mouth). Beautiful fresh aroma of lemon and sweet malts (reminded me of a more intense Adnams brew). Taste is a letdown in comparison - a touch of minerals at first, then bready, biscuity malts that sit uneasily beside the mild grapefruit in the finish. Quite bitter, but not overly so. Yet another APA that’s a bit of a let-down - I’m starting to think that perhaps I’m not overly fond of the style... c5 ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Jun 25, 2009 Cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma has sometea, with citrus and tropical fruits. Dry and fruity flavour well hopped and quite awesome! Dedollewaitor (3625), Odense, Denmark Jun 23, 2009 50cl bottle @ YNWA. Pours a clear copper with a small white head. Pine and grass. Medium, smooth and dry palate. Refreshing, hoppy and pleasant. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 23, 2009 Bottle. Low but lasting creamy off-white head. Slightly hazy golden body. Mild sweet and hoppy fruity malty aroma and flavor. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste. dnas2 (627), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England May 23, 2009 Gravity at Cambridge Beer Festival 2009. Clear copper with a short head. Nice mouthfeel. Well balanced and no dry end. Fruity. Nice but nothing particularly special about it. sm89walt (432), Norwich, Norfolk, England Apr 11, 2009 Cask - Planet Thanet Beer Festival ’09. A clear golden orange with a whitish head. Citrus, grass and floral aromas with some malty sweetness. Sweet fruitiness and citric hops in the flavour with a hoppy finish on a refreshing body. Certainly an ideal session brew. gary07734 (391), Tyne & Wear, England Feb 23, 2009 Golden pour pint, smell is small hops and fruit. Taste is a little bland, hops and orange, dry finish. Mediocre really.
