Cask conditioned handpump Eastgate Northampton 01/05/12 A dark dark ruby coloured beer with an off-white bubbly head. A sweet honeyed mild. Chocolate and licorice too. A nice body. A tasty mild where the honey doesn’t bother me. Did suffer for being too warm - in a Spoons! - but still more than decent.

Cask handpull at County Hotel Spoons Ashford. Very deep ruby colour with lasting beige head. Looks in good nick. Some honey on aroma some honey on the flavour. Mist impressive thing for me though is if you strip out the honey the rest of the beer is cracking. A delightfull drinkable modern dark mild. Really quaffable. Decent beer decent nick. Honey is just a bit too sweet for me
