Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of fruit and chocolate with a touch of coffee. Sweetish malty flavour with a nice roasted character.

Cask, from the Central Southern Bar at GBBF 09. Jet black body carrying a few floaters on the surface. Mild roasted malty aroma. Vaguely taste of roasted, dark malts. Semi-sweet impression. Not bad for a British mild (Earls Court, London 05.08.2009).

Cask at GBBF 2009. Pours a very dark brown colour, with a light, creamy tan head. Good roasted malts aroma with some chocolate. Plenty of roasted malt in the flavour, with a dry finish.

Cask handpump at GBBF ’09. Many thanks to cgarvieuk for this one. Brown. Wheaty aroma. Slightly sour ashy taste. Some dryness. Not the best mild of the day, but there were some crackers on show.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Nut brown color, small white head. Chocolaty aroma, some raisins. A bit fruity flavor with caramel and coffee. Light palate. Decent traditional mild.
