3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 OldMrCrow (1518) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Bottle from Chuck’s.
I’ve been deeply impressed by a number of the Oakshire beers, so I thought this was worth the try despite being rather bored of the style. Reasonably well balanced, crystal malt and balanced if subdued hops, but without a spark that makes one sit up and take note.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (8985) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours dark copper with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of warm toasted malt. Med body more or less. Flavor is a touch of chocolate, with toast malt and enough hop to taste. Maybe carob rather than chocolate. Finish is fairly dry, and it’s bitter enough for 30 IBUs. Certainly drinkable.

22. Pours a clear very dark brown. Loose tan head. Big sweet malty molasses nose. Creamy medium body with subdued carb. Molasses toast and caramel on the mid palate, along with a bit more tanginess than it really needs. Tangy sweet caramel finish.
