On Tap at Brewforia Beer Market, Meridian, ID Black with a dense lasting dark tan head. Malty and roasty aroma, not much pumpkin. Tasted like a export porter with just a hint of the seasonal pumpkin and spice. definitely not over done...which is nice. And tasty overall.

From bottle. 2012 vintage. Deep dark brown color. Aroma is heavy with nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice; slight note of pumpkin. Taste is full of the same spices, with cocoa nibs, pumpkin, and roasted aspects. Finishes with a spiced dark chocolate finish. Would have liked a little more pumpkin, but good overall.

Bottle - pours pitch black with small frothy head. Nose is complex combination of smoke, nutmeg, chocolate, coffee, and pumpkin. Taste is intense dark chocolate with pumpkin and spice presence. Nice dessert beer for the Fall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had higher hopes for this one. Way too unbalanced. Too much spiciness -- the ginger and allspice overpower the base porter, and render the pumpkin and chocolate flavors fighting to come out. This is close to drinking a spice cabinet beer. Disappointed. C- ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at 16 Tons Cafe, Eugene. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown-black, slight amount of tan head. Aroma pumpkin, spice, cocoa, not much chocolate proper. Body lively, full, finish savory and spicy brisk and full. Not an all-time favorite, but an enjoyable treat for the season.

Dark brown in color, thin head. Nice pumpkin and chocolate flavors. Light ginger and other spies. This was a very tasty brew.

Bottle:   Nearly black, moderate frothy beige head, so-so lacing.   Sweet clove, pumpkin, and gingerbread nose.   Similar bits on the tongue, along with some sweet roasted malts.   Has a slight sweetened coffee flair to it.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Lingering allspice and soft roastiness, a touch of ash.   Decent example, solid, but nothing to write home about.   Wished the cinnamon and nutmeg were a bit stronger, in place of the clove and allspice.

The perfect Pumpkin beer, and easily one of the tastiest overall beers I have ever had. All the extra flavors (pumpkin, cacao, cinnamon) taste rich and natural. The Porter aspect of the beer is excellent, rough, tough, heavy, and ready. Single Batch only, so get it while you still can!

Growler from Cutsforth’s. Pours porter brown with a medium sized light brown head. Nice retention and excellent lacing. Bright spiced aroma. Cinnamon, cloves, ginger and pumpkin. Light sweet, medium roastiness up front with the pumpkin showing on the mid-palate. Medium plus body, thick texture, good carbonation, and a long, roasty bitter finish. This is a difficult style done well.
