Solid sour/funky effort from Oakshire. Poured a murky yellow with a thin white head and a fair bit of effervescence. Aroma is farmyard, horsey, all of the Brett notes are present and accounted for. Acidity is light but present. Fairly one note, but it’s a good note. This is a well done Brett beer.

(750ml bottle) cloudy gold, ring of fine white bubbles. Nose of wet wood, gueuze profile, tart white wine barrel, tart fruit. Taste of light saccharin, tart fruit, white wine, not super complex but decent.

December 29, 2012 - bottle at Brett’s tasting. Cloudy yellow pour with some head. Tart, lemon, fruit and wood in aroma and taste. Had a dry finish. Not sure why I wasn’t feeling this one, guess this had the misfortune to be matched up with too many other amazing beers.

Bottle. Poured a hazy amberish/orange color with a small sized head. Fruity, funky, woody, some vanilla, apricots, some vinous qualities. This one grew on me the more I drank it...

Bottle shared at Muckfest III - Pours light amber with a thin white head. Tart white grape on the nose, light oak, and a Smarties sour/sweetness. Taste is nice woody tartness, lightly sharp oak--real lemony and crisp. Well-carbonated with a fluffy, medium body.

Pours dishwater orange gold with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is lactic, earthy, mildly sour. Med body. Flavor is lightly citrus sour, earthy, with fleeting sweet notes. Goes a bit woody in the finish. Fruit esters. Yeast/spice puts in some pepper. Very nice.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours clear yellow with a large off-white head and a strange fruity aroma. Wow, this thing is yeasty. It keeps blowing the stopper off. There is a subtly sour fruit flavor that is quite winey with a dry finish. Hard to describe, but it’s very tasty..

Pours a hazy golden color with a large white head. An interesting aroma for a sour beer. Lots of vanilla notes (from the oak, I assume). Quite a bit of straw and grass with a moderate lemon/lactic characteristic. Bread and cracker malt give a mild sweetness to the flavor, but there is still a pronounced dryness and oakiness. Moderate tartness with lots of straw and grass notes, maybe some subtle fruitiness.
