3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy amber with no head. Nose is buttery, toffee. Smooth flavor, toffee, medium body and low carb. This seems to have lost its sweetness and thinned out, maybe past its prime.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Enjoyed at an all barley wine tasting at Travis’s house on February 21. The pour is a nice dark caramel color with hints of ruby poking through. There is a nice tan colored head that falls off quickly. The aroma is really woody. Almost to the point I want to question if there’s a stave in the bottle. Behind that there is a little caramel and a touch of vanilla to it. Light fruit is also present. The flavor again has a ton of wood. It’s surprising for this to be so wood forward with minimal bourbon. There is a little more of a dark fruit and licorice presence on the back end, but it’s light. The mouth feel is really thin, and the carbonation was too much. This practically jumps off your tongue. It had potential, but this bottle was all over the place

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a dark copper color with a nice beige head. Aroma is insanely woody, tons of oak, earthy notes, smells bitter, vanilla, alcohol, dark fruits, tea leaf old hop aromas and caramel. Flavor follows the nose and is sooo woody, tons of oak, super earthy with the tea leaf old hop notes and decent bitterness, some vanilla, alcohol, dark fruits and caramel too. The body is on the lighter side of full with a creamy and fairly dry mouth feel. Overall a pretty interesting Barley Wine, certainly the most woody and oaky beer I have had in a while.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at PIB. Pours a murky brown/orange with a thin white lacing. Aroma of dark fruits, yeast, butterscotch. Flavour the same, but including bourbon, and yeast. Quite sweet. Dark flavours which leave a tingling/light burning mouthfeel. Good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark hazy ruddy with a creamy head and a light halo around the top of the beer. Rich citrus fruity hops initially hit the nose but give way to sweet caramel, vanilla, and a rather strong toffee presence. In the back there seems to be a touch of oak and char as well. Very nice aroma actually. On the palate there is caramel, toffee, and vanilla coupled with flavors of oak and char. The finish is hoppy dry and bitter.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours ruby in color with just a slight bit of head. Smells of citus hops, toffee, chocolate, vanilla and also has a sour smell to it. Taste is much of the same toffee, vanilla, grapefruit, chocolate, and pine. Mouthfeel is thick and the finish is long with pine hops.
