4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft sample at FOBAB 2013. Pours a deep, opaque brown with a small tan head. Roasted malts, molasses, dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, toasted brown sugar, oak, and a hint of coffee. Medium-bodied, with a roasty, toasty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Seems like it was rich and roasty before the barrel, and picks up some nice balancing barrel sweetness and toastiness. Really well-done barrel aging.

Creme brulee dessert. The taste is cocoa. More mellow oatmeal and caramel. Lightly roasty. Medium body. Very drinkable. Overall, quite tasty. Not barreled to within an inch of its life.
