3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a ruddy brown, with a respectable top of sturdy foam. The aroma is unusual and I can’t quite pin it ... almost cough medicine-like, but not off-putting. This drinks with a fruity flourish, like a sweet cherry bake. There’s also a nice little bitter edge that tops this off quite nicely. (#6137, 2/21/2016)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz bottle. Pours ruby amber brown with a medium creamy light tan head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is perfumey roasted caramel malts and vanilla with a little fruit.
The flavor is sweet nutty perfumey caramel malts with with some vanilla and dark fruit and a green slightly harsh bitter finish that’s a little plasticky. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, an OK winter warmer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
22 oz. bottle, pours a dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and bready caramel malt. Flavour is similar, with bready malt and a little toasted nuts. Pretty dull and lifeless. But it’s okay.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle picked up at the COOP.. Poured into my little Cigar City goblet.. Clear deep amber with a nice pillowy khaki head. piney hops with plenty of dark toasty malt and hints of cocoa.. Nuttiness with the malt as it warms up a bit, bigger bitterness and the pine hops are on the palate, but not quite as much as I want.. Still no problems... Good hops and malt balance... Expected PNW take on a winter beer... If I was drinking this blind, I would guess an Amber Ale with a nice sharpness to the overall package.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber. Light caramel and toffee malt aroma with notes of piney hops. Pours Amber colored with half a finger of tan head with good retention and no lacing. Starts with light caramel and toffee sweetness, but not a lot. Finishes dry with with a good piney hop bite at the end that lingers on the palate. Not bad.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bomber into a pint glass. Pours brown, with a small tan head that quickly fades. Nose is malt and hops. Taste is malty nuttiness with a strong hop component on the finish. Over hopped and not well balanced. Would not buy again.
