Bottle. Copper pour with a lot of head. Malt, lightly roasted coffee, spice and flower. Very nice and easy to approach.

This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a nice looking dark hazy brown color with a thin capped white foamy head that clung for a good amount of the time. The smell had a deep dark roasted brown ale - esque sort of roasted and possibly baked maltiness about it. The taste was mainly roasty and sweet with a rolling roastiness in the aftertaste and it leaves a slight dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping quality about it. It seems carbonated appropriately. Overall, I say this was a pretty good winter warmer leaning towards the darker side of the house.

22 oz. bomber purchased at BevMo. It pours a dark red color with a nice creamy off white head. The aroma is pretty well balanced with toast, toffee and light fruit salad with some hints of floral, herbal hops. The flavor is more hoppy than the aroma with some strong earthy, floral bitterness, sweet toffee, caramel, toast, fruit and hints of cocoa. It kind of tastes like a cross between an English Strong Ale and a Winter Warmer/Old Ale. Pretty tasty stuff.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy reddish dark amber color with a moderate light tan head on there. Nose has some nice toasting to it with just a hint of caramel coming through. Taste isn’t sweet, and has a nice dry bite to it that really highlights the toasting. Nice drink.

Bottle shared by oRos. Pours hazy amber with a rich fluffy beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a hearty brown malt flavor that is pretty bitter for an English Ale. Very tasty.

Nice, balanced beer. I shall not complain. Nothing calls itself out here, but nothing says don’t drink this beer, either.

Nice roasted malt character, with a little hops and alcohol and a smooth drinkability that stood out even amongst some really nice brews. Good strong ale, though I liked the very itg a little more."

Clear dark amber under a sticky lacy light beige head. The aroma is earthy nutty with a dark malt syrupiness with a odd but very welcoming herbal background. Nice flavor of Rosemary and some sort of herbal tone with some earthy malt tones, light nuttiness, a little Yrba Mate tea, and a light touch of earthy resiny hops on the finish. A little herbal for my liking but balanced and nuanced.

A nice wooden barrel scent comes to the forefront at first sniff. Lots of dark goodness in here, all blended seamlessly. Pours dark brown/ruby with creamy beige head and sticky lacing. Taste is smooth, rich, slightly spicy, roast grains, toffee, peat, pipe tobacco. Nice gingerbread lingering on the palate afterwards. Really nice!
