Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with an off-white head on top. Aroma is coffee, citrus, cocoa, and roasted grain. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, roasted grain, and citrus. On the palate the beer is medium bodied and somewhat creamy with the right amount of carbonation.

Bottle shared by oRos. Pours dark brown with a decent beige head and a citrus and treacle aroma. There is a sturdy dark roasted malt base with a piny hop profile.

From the bomber. A great balance of a dark malt beer with a good dose of NW hops. The rich flavour of a dark flavour, but the hops give the beer a hop bitter finish, instead of the usual sweetness or rye like characteristics. Yum. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very nice BIPA. Lots of roast and lots of citrus hop aroma here. Pours black with good head and lacing and a good dose of roast. Finishes bitter with light caramel notes. Tap at Black Squirrel.

"Nice breakfast beer, as this was a spot in mix of orange and grapefruit hops, coffee and a touch of chocolate. No heat. Sessionable yet complex and very tasty."

Dark brown, almost opaque, with ruby highlights, a two-finger foamy tan head and very nice lace. Rich aromas of cocoa powder, roasted malt, earth and a touch of citrus. Taste is similar, with the malt and chocolate sweetness offset by pleasant pine and citrus hop bitterness. The bitterness takes over and lingers through the finish. Medium body, lively carbonation, creamy smooth mouthfeel and a crisp finish.

Pretty dark brown with a big rocky, smells floral, citrusy, a little roasty, really rich toasty dark malts, aggressive hop bitterness, full body. A very assertive character, big example, I really like it.

The time between midnight and the next sunrise eh? Wonderfully, this beer is perfect anytime and was enjoyed on a sunny midday with a great friend. Dark, almost black with a thick tan head. A good meaty, mid carbonated body with a bit of oiliness. Sort of tastes like a hopped up, sweeter and less dry Guinness, that’s a good thing. Bitter coffee and pine resin flavours catapult this one into 4/5 range.

4oz pour at Jack Rose DC. Pours an oddly murky brown with some bright, cream colored head. Very muddy appearance. Nose has some watermelon, leafy hop, pickled watermelon rind, vinous, lemon, plenty of C hops, a hint of bread crust. Flavor has some malty sweetness, a hint of caramel, orange peel, white grape, pine, soap, lemon. Sticky finish.
