3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Cornucopia Downtown in Eugene, Black body, thin brown head, aroma is dark roasts and rich coffee, flavor is dark chocolate, mildly chalky, mild sweetness but really pretty dry, big thick body - filling stout texture, rich coffee bean, doesnít taste like enough to caffeinate you (try Bellís Java stout) but enough to taste, good stout and it did its job after a bike ride out in the rain

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz can from Mile High Wine & Spirits. Black appearance with a light brown head and light lacing. Aroma of espresso, dark chocolate, roasted malts, earthy notes and light vanilla. Similar flavor with mild bitterness and light sweetness. Light to medium body, a little thin, with a rich, lingering finish. Overall, pretty good coffee stout, although, the body could be beefed up a bit.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz can pours dark black with a little tan head that disappears fast. Nice coffee aroma. Taste is strong black coffee up front, backed with dark roasted malts and a easy finish. A little toasty and smokey. Very good stout!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Opaue black pour with a small tan head and a little bit of maroon around the edges. Subdued aromas, but what is there is pleasant dark chocolate and a little bit of coffee. Flavor adds some sweetness as well as a bit of bitter roast as well. Thick body is nice to check on, but with an abrasive carbonation thatís unwelcome in a stout. Wish this was a little brighter with more coffee, itís at least decent as is.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black with a dense two-finger head, great retention and lacing. Aromas of chocolate, molasses, dark berry, espresso and faint smoke. Espresso flavor up front, with a mild roasted bitterness, mocha, dark chocolate and dark fruit. Just a hint of grassy hops in the background. Full body, minimal carbonation, exquisitely smooth and silky mouthfeel and a dry finish. Loved this.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz can. Pours dark brown black with a medium fizzy creamy brown head that goes to a thin layer and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet and roasty chocolate malts with some acidic coffee.
The flavor is sweet chocolate with lots of roast coffee and a slightly ashy finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, I like the sweet chocolate and roast coffee.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours black as night with a very dense tan head. Aroma is strong coffee, some chocolate, and malty sweetness. Taste starts off as slightly sweet coffee and turns to a bitter chocolate aftertaste. Finishes dry and bitter with a little astringency. Delicious beer when the weather gets shitty.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2014 Maybe this was old, cause it seems to be liked, and I like Oakshire...and LOVE coffee stouts. Not this one, though. There was a little of that olove like vegetal quality that while not overpoering was a distraction. Coffee seemed a little stale and the body was thin and lifeless. I didnít hate it as much as that would indicate. The aroma and look were nice, but the body and flavor lacking. I got the impression if the coffee were gone, this beer woulda sucked
10/14 - tap. much much much better on nitro and fresh. still wonít trust a bottle, but this beer CAN be quite good. 2.7-3.8.
