COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Perfect Storm Double IPA celebrates the rich traditions of brewing in the Northwest. The perfect storm of six different hop varieties combine to create a substantial ale with a clean finish. A proprietary blend of regional and European barley malts balance the hop bitterness while allowing the hop flavors to dominate.

Bomber. Appearance is a hazy rusted orange and gold color with a half-inch of off-white foam. Strong floral hops and tropical fruit in the aroma with a bit of caramel. The flavor starts out with aggressive vegetal hops bitterness leading to some pineapple, grapefruit, mint and caramel malt notes. Also a noticeable alcohol burn toward the end. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy with moderate carbonation and more leafy bitterness and citrus in the finish. Tasty but a tad boozy and bitter at times.

Bottle from The Beer Junction, Seattle; 9% ABV
Clean golden color with medium head. The aroma provides a blend af resiny, fruity, dunk hops, and toffee (8.5). Lean body, can’t believe this is 9% beer, with strong toffee malt flavor, light residual sweetness, followed by a strong presence of piney hops and some citrus fruits. Well balanced..
Surgically clean IIPA with excellent malt and hops.

650 ml bottle @ Kick. Unclear orange body with a rather small but good locking, lacing off-white head. Nice citric fruity aroma with lots of malt as well with caramel. Flavor is sweet pale malt, citric fruit and good bitterness. Well balanced pleasant body and long lasting aftertaste with smooth malt and pleasant bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden, just as a warming feeling in the aftertaste. Not really complex, pretty straight forward, but very smooth and well made. Nice one.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2016 gold pour big white head. Aroma juniper pine spruce simcoe hops. Tastes big pine whew initially then orange like centennial fades into biscuity grainy barley. Rerated 2/17/16 - 2016 edition. More nelson. Still too sweet.

22oz bomber. The deScription says 10% ABV but the bottle says 8.7% ABV. Pours a hazy peach with a moderate head and good lacing. Nose is fruit, pine and earth with a hint of grass and yeast. Taste starts out sweet, evolves into malt and finally graduates to a complex bitterness. The whole mixture of nose, taste and finish is exceptional and hides the alcohol very well.

651 ml. bottle. ABV 8.7%. Vintage 2015. Pours a medium, well retained, ivory head, with moderate lacing, over a hazy, particle laden, amber (SRM 9) body.....nose is heavy hops with pine resin, citrus peel, herbal notes, light grass, hints of allium, moderate cereal malts, no esters, balance to the hops.....taste is slightly sweet, with light cereal malts, mild pine, resin, citrus peel, floral notes, light licorice, finishing with a moderate hop bitterness.....mouth feel, medium body, sticky, pleasant alcohol warmth, slight astringency, medium carbonation. This is obviously a different recipe than the original with the lower ABV. It is a pleasant beer with a somewhat muted malt backbone. It is appropriately dominated by the complex hop bill. BJCP 9/1/16/4/8
