Clear golden color with lasting ivory sheen. Nice but mild grainy caramel, pale malt aromas with floral, fruity hoppage. Smooth medium body. Nice floral spicy hop twang, with honey slathered bready malt flavors--good

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy orange. Stale hops, and orange chocolate (like the whack-it chocolate balls) on the nose. Stale mint in the flavor, underlying some not-so-impressive malts. Meh.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 A: Orange/copper/amber body. Two finger creamy white head. Quickly receded but left some decent lacing.
S: Classic pacific northwest bold and big IPA. Lots of dank pine and bright citrus. Mostly grapefruit, but some orange rind and lemon peel as well. The malt is just hanging out in the background.
T: A bit cleaner and more complex than the nose with various shades of pine, forest, and citrus fruits provide a nice burst of flavor. Its skewed towards the hops but its not one dimensional as the soft caramel malts provide a nice base.
M: Medium to heavy body. Assertive carbonation delivers the hops to the tongue. Clean, bitter finish.
O: Quite nice. Got this as an extra and it was quite a nice treat. Just might need to track this down again.

On tap at Wankers Corner. A bit on the weak side. Some citrus and sweet taste. Not enough hoppiness. Light bitter finish. Hides 7% alcohol well, easy to drink.

22. Hazy gold color, moderate head that dissipates quickly, no lace.
Medium carbonation. Peppery hops up front, citrus hops in the finish, citrus nose. Excellent and relatively restrained Oregon IPA.

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clearish light orange with soapy fine off-white bubbles. Nose of candi sugar, orange. Taste of pine, orange, grapefruit, moderate to light residual sweetness. Very bitter linger and a creamy body.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: Pours a cloudy, deep copper-toned body with a sporadic, skittish, white head.
Smell: Simplistic, one-dimensional malt base, just a hint of pale malts, really, with some floral, resinous, lemony hop scents on top.
Taste: Lightly sweetish pale malts with a low, dull breadiness to it. Dash of stale lemon peel, vague notion of spice, and a hint of birch tree bark peel. Medium bitterness. Some inclusion of dry maltiness on the bitterish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Personally, I found it to be a bit bland in the flavor department.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A: The pour is sort of orange in color with a soapy white head.
S: Sort of a soapy aroma with toasted bread and sweet toffee and caramel malts. A bit of citrus and pine hop character with just a very mild herbal note to it.
T: Sweet malt all the way with quite a bit of bread, toast, and toffee. There is a fairly minimal hop flavor. Herbs and citrus peel with a little bit more soap and perhaps even some pine sol.
M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
O: Soap and floor cleaner are not preferable flavors in any beer.

Not my favorite IPA, but I managed to drink a couple of them anyways. Strong though, God bless it.
