Tropical fruit and floral aromas. Pours a clear golden orange color with a slight off white head with good head retention and nice lacing. Light carbonation soft bitterness, but makes its way through the whole palette, some malt and caramel, fruit. Overall very drinkable

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: Cloudy orange color with a firm foamy head. Decent legs.
N: Lots of tangerine, mango, and papaya in the nose. Crystallized sugar sweetness. Very, very fruity. Not complex, but very nice.
T: Quite bitter and leafy. Almost murky. Very biscuity. Not a ton of flavor comes through here, however.
M: Very, very dry. Lots of hop resins, but it’s not as clean as I’d wish for.
O: A perfectly adequate and enjoyable IPA. There’s not much to complain about, but at the same time, it’s missing an extra complexity to take it over the edge.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of a generation of canned IPAs coming out lately. Crisp, moderately hoppy, has a lightness that makes it refreshing as an IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber poured into my ipa glass. Pours a semi hazy golden orange color with a medium sudsy white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of pine, citrus, lemon and resin. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with good carbonation and a bone dry finish. Overall its a pretty good northwest style ipa. Actually great for the price. My only gripe is that I noticed that it has that Eugene Oregon water flavor noticeable in most Ninkasi beer also. Water is a important factor in beer believe it or not.

My Bottom Line:
A coniferous hop cologne hovers atop this IPA’s slender biscuit-y malts, as honey-like undercurrents tag along the resinous bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the translucent golden.
-The mouthfeel is very smooth.
-This is not a hop bomb; it’s just a very well put together hop vehicle, and quenching too.
-Hops also share bark-like angles.
-A very pleasant surprise from an unknown brewer. Always a great moment!

Thanks to the person who brought this to the Craft Beer Company in Clerkenwell for a tasting. I always like trying new West Coast style IPAs. While this is not the greatest it does put a new brewery on my radar.
Aroma / Appearance - The carbonated golden base shimmers like bright daylight. White head sits on top like chunks of melting ice. Spruce, pine, and bright citrus sweeten the air.
Flavor / Palate - The bright hops are the main star of a balanced approach to the style. It’s big and bold in the typical American style. The bitterness lingers like a long lasting sunset. I’d pick up a few more Oakshire beers on a trip out west based on this one.
