Clear gold with a stony bright white head, nice retention and excellent lace. Clean sharp citrus aromas with a touch of pine and bready malt. Crisp hop bitterness, flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, lime, slightly offset by a mild caramel sweetness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and a clean finish.

pnista (1007) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - APR 8, 2008
On tap. Pours a straw golden yellow with a warmish hue and a decent enough head. The nose is full of columbus chinook cascase hops. Low malt profile, but not lacking in malt. Lightly fruity, mostly floral resin. The mouthfeel is fuller than thin, but not much more so than average. Bright sharp hop flavor. Refreshing and crisp. The malt is generally subdued, but lightly sweet enough to carry the hops and provide a little bit of subtle fruitiness. The flavors are nicely married. This is a lovely beer thatís more like a big old ass pale ale than a really bitter bracing IPA, but thatís not a bad thing in my book, hell, Iíd say itís even a plus given all the mediocre pales out there.
