Can (12 oz). Hazy golden orange with a huge frothy white head and intense lacing. Aroma of piney hops, tropical fruits, some caramel and floral presence. Taste is slightly sweet with piney hops, grapefruits, caramel/malt and moderate bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Dry finish. Good balance and nice drinkability. Nice IPA.

Draft @ KLCC Microbrew Festival: Pours a bright copper with a large white head. Aroma is citrus and floral hops with plenty of grapefruit sweetness. Flavor is balanced by some caramel and maltiness into the citrus hops. Good.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2008 On tap at the Green Dragon. Much more floral then I remember, big grapefruit character, crisp and punchy on the bitterness. This sample was more floral but more bitter then the previous one, but a touch better overall. Citrus hops shine through a big grapefruit finish. Very floral and crisp. Very nice IPA that didnít totally trash the taste buds with bitterness.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2009 bottle. light caramel color, clear. vibrant pine needle and citrus nose, minimal caramel malt character, mostly pale, lets the focus just be hops, and theyíre well-used. intensely aromatic, crisp, lingering and spicy in the nose and up front on the tongue where a mild to medium malt sweetness is picked up. across the back itís aggressiveness grows and the bitterness is showcased, while the malt structure is rich and chewy and hefty without really being that dense. fresh, dank and delicious.

Bomber poured a hazy orange amber with a lasting ivory head and great lacing. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit, pine and light orange zest. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, orange zest, grapefruit, pine and light earthiness with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours amber with a three finger frothy whiteish head. Aroma is pretty hoppy. Seems a citrus resin mix. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is hoppy bitter, but rather floral. Maybe they used a lot of different hops. There is a malt backbone, but it just is malt. The hops are the thing. This is really nice stuff.

22oz bottle from Johnís. Pours a darker amber tinted golden with a smallish grayish white that leaves behind light spotty lacing. Nose is big on malty biscuit, slightly sweet, touch of ice tea, light resinous hops that rolls back into the malt again. Body feel is a touch on the chewy side with great prickly carbonation. The hops come out much more in the taste than in the nose...crisp grass, piny bite, with some spiciness and a touch of orange zest with plenty of malt to sweeten it up. Wasnít a fan of the nose on first pour, but it got better as I poured the rest of the bomber in the glass...this one grew on my as I worked my way through it.

22 oz bottle from Oakshire Brew Supply (Eugene, OR). Thanks, Joel! Pours a lively glowing orange amber, a good haze with decent offwhite head, fairly thick that laces pretty well. Aromas are a blast of sweeter caramel malts, toffee, citrusy floral hops mix in, with biscuits, lemon. Initial is a decent hopping, meon and florals with a touch of grassy, faint pine mixing into heavier caramel and biscuity malts. The bitterness and hops grow on the palate, citrusy and floral bursts, caramel and pie crust underneath, some lighter pale malts, medium bodied and firm on the palate. A bit sweet, but the hops grow on the palate and really start to assert themselves. Florals, grass, a bit of pine linger on the palate. A solid IPA. I bet this would get a boost just a bit fresher in the hop department. Fairly balanced, but Iíd like some more hops, a bit more life but perhaps that is just greed. Nice.
