Aug 4, 2008 The Shakespeare’s head, Leicester. Dark ruby with a fat beige collar and clinging lace. Dunked biscuity malt character with a faint dusting of choc. Good musty hops coming through and a hint of fruit. Soft, slightly mealy, unroasty mild.

Jun 14, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Punch Bowl, Warwick. Dark brown with beige head. A malty fruity northern mild with a cereal mash character. Easy drinking and simple, and in this pub, very cheap. Quite dry in the finish, decent beer.

Nov 23, 2007 Cast at The Wenlock, october 07. Clear ruby color with a small white head. Nice, butterscotch, raisiny aroma. Nutty, toasty flavor, mild and warming. Light to medium mouthfeel, highly drinkable. Nice smelling and quaffable mild.

A gorgeous red / orange / brown colour. A proper mild. Wheat, straw, young and rather lovely. Downable, enjoyable, straight forward and excellent.
