Beautiful hop driven beer! At 5% abv. so nice to see a flavourful, yet sessionable beer these days. Technically well made and exceptonal balance. Juicy palate with a clean, fresh finish that is filled with citrus notes. Very excited about these guys... one of my favourite beers in Ontario!

On tap at Volo. Pours a clear golden colour with average white head. Aroma is chewy, honeyed grains and fruit. Flavour is quite fruity with some honeyish grains and a light spiciness. Nothing special, but clean and has a little going on.

2013-02-10. Crisp golden body small white head. 3++ Modest aroma, grassy hops, lightly fruity, pale malt. 6+ Flavour has a decent amount of bitterness. Grassy lightly fruity hop character. Average bodied palate, suitable carbonation. Quaffable, enjoyable. Rhino Winter Festival, Toronto

Bottle from brewery. Pours golden and clear. Rich fruity aroma, also somewhat floral, with honey notes. Bright fruity taste up front - I can pick out cherries and peaches - fighting constant bitter, sour, and dry flavours. Finally leading to a bitter floral finish. Feels thin - maybe I’m not used to 5% abv IPAs anymore (I’m more of a 6.5% guy). Overall a good effort - I enjoyed it and my wife loved it. I look forward to trying more beers from these guys.

blankboy (5798) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 14, 2013
Draught at Rhino Winter Beer Festival, Feb. 10. Pours a clear deep gold with an average size semi-lasting bubbly white head. Nice aroma of herbs, light hops and some perfumy notes along with a hint of butteryness (but not in a bad way). Flavour is herbal and yeasty along with some hops and light spices in the finish. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2013 On tap at The Rhino. Medium cloudy yellow with retained foam and lacey. smooth mouthfeel. Some citra hop aroma, yet the flavour is very mildly hoppy, like a British pale ale, or faded hops. had again at brewery dry hopped much nicer

Aroma: quiet nice good malt profile with clean hop backing. Hint of spruce behind, touch of juniper.7+
Look: poured as light amber with medium semi dense , off white top. Some lace.3+
Taste / Palate etc.: Medium full bodied with lighter backing. Solid , even bold hop character. Pine, citrus with grapefruit following. Bitter, tad raw feel at finish. Refreshing, Nice to see malt base supporting hop profile. Now just need to carry tad further.

Different aroma on this. Has what almost tastes like anise along with the hops. It follow through on taste and makes for interesting drink. Pours golden clear with a little lacing. Medium to light bitterness. Pretty high carbonation. Tap at volos.

November 9, 2012 - at Volo on draught - bubbly gold, solid white head (4-). Pretty bland aroma, like a clean classic Canadian ale - grain, heather, honey, vaguely bitter (a generous 7- but it had better taste pretty good). Taste - honey and heather, slightly harsh with scorched grass character, and grainy, not much alcohol presence - pretty "meh". Average body, a bit chewy, decent carbonation, still a tad harsh and squeaky in the finish, a little burnt in the linger, a lot of grain, needs some crispness, more sharp grassiness - I don’t think I would drink this again.
