Bottle, dark brown, smell is sweet sugar and belgian yeast smells, taste is lots of dark fruits, I get some grapes, up front, some raisons, on dates and figs in there as well, lots going on, lots of sugars in there, a nice offering but not my favorite.

This ale poured a deep amber colour with a big, fat light tan head. Scents include ripe fruit, coriander spice, cloves and light malt. First swig was quite carbonated with a very fizzy mouthfeel and flavours of cloves, coriander malt and wheat. Remindes me of a more malty version of a wheat beer. Finish is malty with a lingering clove/coriander flavor.

Bottle from brewery. Pours clear dark brown with an enormous ever-growing head. Funky yeast aroma. Light Belgian spicy yeast in the taste, with plenty of sticky-sweet caramalts. A little vanilla too. Enjoyable.

750ml bottle given as a gift for watching the dogs...much better then money! Hazy brown with a beige head. Fruity malt, also a bit metallic although that mostly fades as the bottle airs out, some yeast, bit of a tang, grains, some caramel. Mild+ carbonation, moderate body, sweet with a bit of a tang, slight bitterness as it dries out on the palate, more malt and grain on the finish.

Bottle [750ml] at Indie Alehouse shared with jercraigs & mabel, Sep.19. Pours dark brown with a small semi-lasting frothy beige head. Aroma of tangy fruit, some light "metal" and caramel malt. Flavour is malty, tangy again, and with sweet malt and fruit. Average to medium bodied. Not a big fan of the style, I found this just good, not great.

2013-09-19. Lightly hazy very dark brown body nice creamy tan head. 3++ Aroma is tangy and fruity up front, sweetish dark malt. 7+ Flavour is pleasantly malty up front, sweet sugary malt, fruity undertones, very lightly tangy touches. Whisper of pineapple or is that in my head? 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Not really what I was expecting for the style but I think I like this better than what I expected! Bottle tap at Indie Alehouse, Toronto

750ml bottle - dark muddy brown color with a puffy 2 finger cap. Aroma is very nice - like a musty pear cider, Medium body, sick mouth feel and a fruity character. Flavor is big and earthy with sweetish malts meeting succulent fruits in the front then good balance as hops show up mid palate, finish goes a bit dry and bitter. Very decent sipping ale for summer….I think this ale will cellar but is best when fresh.
