[5527-20130622] Tap. Oaked fruity malt aroma. Hazy, orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Boozy oaked fruity orange flavour has a lingering oak chip finish. Medium-full body. Really interesting, good. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

Citrus and spicy aroma. Cloudy gold colour. Flavour of coriander, orange, and malt. Mild body with lively carbonation. Really nice.

Tap at BarHop. Pale golden pour with a thin white head. The aroma has a soft oakiness and a bit of bright fruitiness. Not terribly banana flavored but has a nice estery berry flavour. Fairly wheaty with a very light smoky phenolic flavour. Pretty lovely beer actually.

On tap at Bar Hop. Sounded really interesting it delivers in taste. Lots of wood and farmhouse smelling yeast. Not the style but good drinkability.Very yellow body.

On tap at bar hop. Hazy orange pour, medium delicate carbonation, quick white head. Aroma is earthy, vegetal, cheese, banana, nutty, toffee malt. Sweet and yeasty. Banana and wine throughout to a medium, boozy (whiskey) finish. Good for a hef, if not the best balance.

Tap, pours hazy yellow, aroma is wheaty and spicy, got a bit of a winey taste, with a nice spice from the wheat and overall nice offering

Draught at Indie Alehouse. Pours a hazy gold with a small semi-lasting frothy white head. Mild aroma of bubblegum, banana and wheat. Flavour is lightly spicy along with wheat, banana, bubblegum and a bit of sugar. Average bodied. I had no idea this was barrel-aged until I entered my rating. Just good.

On tap at Volo. Pours a nurky orange with modest sized white head. Aroma is banana wheat and lightish barrel. Flavour is full of banana and wheat with light oaky character - I didn’t find this as dominated by the wood as others. Lightish carbonation. Good.

2013-06-22. Hazy pastel orange body with a small white head. 3+ Aroma is quite oaky, dusty wood character reminds me of church basement somehow, very mild fruit touches. Flavour is quite dry and woody, lightly fruity, lingering fresh oak. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Okay, it is a bit one dimensional with the dominance of the wood, at least to me. A hazed blonde with a thin white head. In aroma, loads of banana cake with smooth peated malt, wood and light bourbon. In mouth, a sweet banana candy with bourbon and oak, interesting.
