This was delicious. Galbo had this at the house and we drank it together. It smelled like an oatmeal, looked pretty, and tasted smooth. Overall, I'd drink this time and again on draft.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On Tap @ Bent Elbow – taps deep black, decent 2 finger tan cap. Aroma is roasty toasty, grainy, with a wisp of herbs. Rich chocolatey-roasty flavour is barely contained by the noble hopping, clean toasty/herbal finish. Classic dunkel! Best I have tasted in the local brewing industry. I would drink this all the time if it were available.

Growler. Pours walnut with a short lived head of white. Chocolate, roasted nut and toasty grain on the nose. Some earthy, loamy hops. Slightly sweet, but a balancing finish of subtle hops and roast. Moderate body and carbonation. Clean and very tasty.

[5766-20130907] Tap. Fruity mouldy wet grains aroma. Clear, dark ruby red body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Toasted fruity skin grains flavour has a little bit of a roasted coffee note. Medium body. Not often a fan of dunkels but this is pleasant. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

Draught at ’Golden Tap Awards 2013’, beerbistro. Pours a dark ruby with a spare lasting frothy white head. Aroma of dark fruit and chocolate along with caramel malt and nuts. Flavour is malty, nutty and chocolatey. Average bodied. Just good, not great.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear, deepest brown with a pale tan, tight head. Aroma of molasses, caraway, and raisins. Taste is sweet up front with complex sweetness, carrying through to a clean, lightly bitter finish - as good as any Czech or German Dunkel/Tmavý - maybe even better.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap, pours a dark brown almost black, taste was a lot of raisins for me and some grape as well, it was lightly bittered and it was pretty tasty overall.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
It pours mahogany with ruby highlights; the head is bone-coloured and foamy. The aroma has notes of: dark bread, with ruby fruits. The taste is light sweet that finishes medium-light bitter; there are notes of: toasted oats, pumpernickel bread, grapefruit-zest, and fresh grains. The palate is medium-medium light bodied, has medium carbonation, and a medium finish. Overall, slightly flavoured water.
