UPDATED: SEP 3, 2014 Bottle - Banana, tropical fruit, grass and citrus. Hazy gold with a rich white head. Stone fruit, yeast with some light peppery notes in the finish. Not bad.

Great aroma - floral and sprucey. Looked beautiful - bright sun yellow; somewhat hazy, normal for what I consider to be the classic Belgian farmhouse style; and a bright billowy white head with great retention. Taste was phenomenal - sweet up front like honeydew melon; transitioning to sour lemon, pineapple, tangerine; finishing peppery and pleasantly bitter from the hops. Nice carbonation on the palate, certainly didn’t sit flat. Overall an absolute pleasure for drinking on the deck mid-afternoon after mowing the lawn. There are cheaper saisons on the shelves but I’m glad I decided to pay a little extra and give this one a try!

Pours a hazy yellow colour. aroma is spiced, has some weird lemon/cider like quality but has esters and a hint of grass. On the palate it is smooth, sports a medium body and has a spicy finish. It is okay.

czar (4687) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 2, 2014
pours hazy light and bright golden with a tall creamy whtie head, good retention and lacing. spicy and bready/grainy maltiness, some husks - light astringency, rustic character, cushiony fruitiness too; hint of booze, touch of honey, grass, pepper, mineral traces. lively to average carbonation, light body - oily, dry grassy-herbal-citrusy finish. very lightly tart, balanced, quenching and tasty rustic graininess.

Picked up from the brewery. Has a big foamy head and is a dull orange in colour. Pretty decent.

Bottle bottled about a year ago. Golden mostly clear with big fizzy white head. Smell is yeasty, some straw. Very nice slightly tart but yeast heavy with grain and light barnyard. Very good!

(Rating #5569)

Poured a slightly hazy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma of light barnyard, lactose and light fruit. Light body, flavour much as the aroma. Average.

MartinT (8135) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 1, 2014
My Bottom Line:
This doughy and cushy Saison shares plenty of rusticity and fruitiness alongside polite herbal hoppiness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A towering head of foam decorates the hazy straw blond.
-From nose to finish, this is very authentic.
-Bready malts and yeast character are nicely harmonious.
-Effervescence is intense and its big bubbles help to air out the mouthfeel.

Bottle.
