Shitty hay and corn aroma. Crystal clear yellow, medium head. Drab corny flavor. Blah, not much to see here at all.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 KickInChalice (771) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 6, 2012
From notes. First reviewed 8/10/2011. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
OB Blue has a golden straw color with a small white sea foam cap that does not really stick around.
Wow, there is almost no aroma. Maybe a little grass and light malt, but that’s it.
The taste follows. This is just fizzy water basically. Some rice and a little bit of grass and lager yeast. No hops, that would be too much work.
The mouthfeel is probably about as light as a beer can go and not drift away into the atmosphere. Very fizzy crisp, and clean, although that is mainly because there is not really any flavor that could screw that up.
It was a hard feat to accomplish, but this may have less flavor than most light beers. There is literally nothing to appreciate here. So glad I ordered this.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Palme (1424) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 23, 2011
0.33l bottle @ Hyundai Hotel, Ulsan South Korea. A clear and pale body with a small quickly clenching to the sides of the glass just off-white lager head. Thin fruity-watery hints and some weak hops in the aroma. Average carbonated and with a thin and watery mouthfeel. Hints of burned malts in the flavor, some thin dusty hops and the whole thing ends extremely, and then I really mean extremely watery. Just like having a glass of tap water. No extreme bad flavors, even though I did not care to much for the burned tones. Drinkable as a thirst quencher.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 txspartan (661) - Wilrijk, BELGIUM - NOV 14, 2011
Fruity aroma. Crisp flavour. Some stale malty aftertaste. Barely any carbonation.

Draught at Korean restaurant. Faint maizy aroma, slight watery flavour, no finish. The commercial description is a lie. If you are in a Korean restaurant and they have this or water, drink water.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 Countbeer (1925) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2011
Bottle: Had this one years ago:
White head on top of a clear yellow colored beer.
Aroma is the typical pilsner smell, maybe a bit dull and soft with hints of hops and malts, but light.
The taste is also pretty light and dull, low bitterness.
Some hops and malts, bit watery, low body.
Guess you can better leave it on the shelve.

Bottle from Tesco New Malden. Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma is of malt, and some grain, the taste is watery, grain, corn, and a very strange aftertaste that is almost a sour.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 auerbrau (2653) - Peace Dale, Rhode Island, USA - JUN 8, 2011
12oz Bottle, at Sun and Moon Korean Restaurant - East Providence, RI. This was much rougher than Hite and it shows in the score. Messy, lightly fusely flavor, with lots of the weird fruity, floral, gummy off-flavors that I hate in so many pale lagers. Texture and body were flabby and weak. Not good. Stick with Hite.
