3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 AshtonMcCobb (1447) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 18, 2011
50cl bottle. Pours opaque black with next to no head. The nose has very intense dark chocolate. The taste has dark chocolate and cream, almost towards a chocolate liqueur, in fact. The palate has initially a big structure, then it is watery in the middle (lacking texture). Overall, an enjoyable ale that needs polished up - more head and a longer palate feel.
