2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled in Oban. Dark brown. Sweet and caramell ywithtreacke and tar as most prominent features. Like all Oban Bay beers it combines low hop rate with relatively high sweetness. More treacle than anything else, really.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
50cl bottle. Pours opaque black with next to no head. The nose has very intense dark chocolate. The taste has dark chocolate and cream, almost towards a chocolate liqueur, in fact. The palate has initially a big structure, then it is watery in the middle (lacking texture). Overall, an enjoyable ale that needs polished up - more head and a longer palate feel.
