Schroppfy (1733), Ohio, USA Feb 9, 2004 Light straw with some gray. Some haze evident. Light in body but not overly so - profound lemonyness, less sweet banana, a little tease of spice. Good but not great.
ska (56), Italy Sep 14, 2008 50cl bottle (5.5% abv), hazy and pale yellow colour, very thin white head, low carbonation, light wheat and yeast aroma with banana and citrus, watery sweet flavor, good lemon finish with light bitterness aftertaste bsm80 (105), Massapequa, New York, USA Sep 6, 2008 Nice pour, initially lively fizzling white head, nice presentation in the bottle, but enjoyed more from a pint glass, very sweet with hints of candy maybe, definitely yeast, bitter finish, refreshing. Slayer85 (457), Firenze, Italy Jul 28, 2008 Swing top bottle (5,5% ABV). An unclear dark yellow beer with a huge and persistent white head. The aroma is yeasty and malty with notes of lemon and bubblegum. Average nose. The flavour has a light to medium acidity and is quite classic for the style, maybe with more citric notes. Light banana and some spiciness. Almost medium body, average carbonation, medium finish with light bitterness. Nice, but maybe too watery. Overall refreshing and good for this season. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 1, 2008 One of my first experiences with the style and I have to admit it almost put me off of them for good. This was just a basic take on the style, nothing especially wrong with it, other than I thought it was way too tame and light for the style. Very one dimensional, very wheaty and malty, with a ligher than usual spice profile, and lots of citrus acidity. Finishes kind of weak. armando629 (434), Budapest, Hungary Jun 22, 2008 Hazy amber appearance with a good-looking white lacing head. Delicious aroma of top fermented wheat beers with a hint of banana, some cinnamon, light citrus. The flavor is complex with fruity tastes of yeast, some apple and light hop. Fine wheat aftertaste.
