jgb9348 (1863), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Nov 27, 2008 Yellow coloured body with a thinnish white head and a bunch of bubbles rising from the bottom. Medium-bodied; Mild malty flavour with a bit of metal and some very light hops. Slight acidic flavour as well - but nothing overly done. Aftertaste shows mild malt and a little bit of sweetness - pretty nice indeed! Overall, a pretty good beer - better than most Russian’s I’ve had - so I’d recommend this Ukranian to others! I sampled this 500 mL bottle given to me as a Thanksgiving gift on 27-November-2008. italianjohn (99), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 24, 2008 My first Ukrainian beer poured a nice pale gold with nice head that went away quickly left no lacing and lots of carbonation a slightly sweet taste not overpowering ending with a very slight bitterness its ok nothing special jjpm74 (3446), Connecticut, USA Jul 30, 2008 Pours straw with a thin white head. Smells of sweet malt and peppery. Tastes watery with some sweet malty hints and some bitterness on the finish. NJBeerman013 (621), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Jul 20, 2008 Bottle.. Pale golden in color with a large, foamy, white head. The aroma is a bit grassy, with a touch of malty sweetness. The flavor is a bit alcoholic, with a sweet, syrupy corny note. It has a medium body and a cloyingly sweet finish. Not bad for a standard lager from the other side of the world. robforbes (784), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jul 8, 2008 pours a clear light yellow with little to no head, some lacing.
smell is faint, corn, grain.
taste is crisp, sweet, grain, then ends a sour malt.
