bluevegie (3067) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 6, 2004
Orange straw colour with a short white fluffy head that almost lasted the distance. Malt aroma with some grains but only slight. No full flavours, maybe some dough characters and late bitterness, but good enough to knock back a couple or three.

OK though disappearing head, clear pale yellow body. Weak aroma of malt, hops and straw. Bitter hoppy flavor, quite thin and flat. Boring.

Somewhat flowery aroma. Flowery and grainy, somewhat hoppy flavor. Medium bodied, somewhat nasty aftertaste. otherwise a fairly clean palate.

It looks like your typical golden coloured lager. The aroma has a bit too much corn in it, but this beer’s flavor is better than the smell. It has some hops and floral qualities, and just a bit of corn. Not really my thing, but someone who really liked lagers might enjoy it.

This beer probably suffers from its obscurity in that it is not likely at its fresh best when found. Color may have darkened, and there is no particular hint of hops or barley in the aroma.

Nexxus (261) - Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA - MAR 28, 2004
Slightly hazy light amber with a thick diminishing white head. Weak aroma of bread, straw, pepper and a light floral perfume. Light medium watery body with lively carbonation. Flavor of bread, pepper, straw and honey. Somewhat metallic and sterile. Another unoffensive beer that is not very good.

golden in color with a small white head that disapates quickly. Spicy hop aroma leads into a clean dry finish.Bitter and a bit thin.

Volgon (2763) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 13, 2004
Clear orange with a thin white head. LIght flowery malty aroma. Not skunked, which seems odd for a lager in a green bottle that travelled halfway around the world. Watery, medium mouthfeel. Ends a tad bit bitter. A nice lager.

JPDIPSO (5107) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 29, 2004
Straw color with a fluffy white/yellow head. More residual bubbles on the side of the glass than lace. Light herbal/floral hops. Starts with a dry floral hoppiness that leads to a simple sugary flavor. Pitch type of bitterness. Rusty flavors, that seem to dominate the breweriesin these regions. Finish has a real pure bitterness quality, an industrial manufactured hops extract quality. A touch to spritzy.

SpringsLicker (3251) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 4, 2004
Somewhat thin all around. It just hints of what should be there in abundance. A beer that never really gets going in any direction. Best attributes are yellow and fizzy. Order the Heineken. If I'm ever in the Ukraine, I'll try it fresh and do a re-rate.
