It is deeply fermented beer with a nice hop bitterness and flavour. This beer is produced according to classical technology with lagering in cold. It is recommended to serve this beer chilled at temperature of +3...+5 C.

Straw color with a fluffy white/yellow head. More residual bubbles on the side of the glass than lace. Light herbal/floral hops. Starts with a dry floral hoppiness that leads to a simple sugary flavor. Pitch type of bitterness. Rusty flavors, that seem to dominate the breweriesin these regions. Finish has a real pure bitterness quality, an industrial manufactured hops extract quality. A touch to spritzy.

Somewhat thin all around. It just hints of what should be there in abundance. A beer that never really gets going in any direction. Best attributes are yellow and fizzy. Order the Heineken. If I'm ever in the Ukraine, I'll try it fresh and do a re-rate.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2004 A really nice Ukrainian beer, which comes close to many top notch European beers. Comes close to the other Ukrainian beer, Slavutych. A good example of European lager. Dry and bitter. Finish is nice. Hard to find in the U.S., due to dicriminatory practices on the goods imported from Ukraine, and virtually no marketing.

The aroma is very hoppy and sweet. The color is dark yellow and it has a fine though collapsing head. The flavor is dominated by aroma hops combined with sweet malt notes and grain notes. It ends on a nice bitterness. A really good example of an international lager.

Thin foamy head with ok lacing. Ok carbonation. Slightly skunky hops aroma with some spices and a trace of yeast. Color is a light to medium gold. Flavor is mostly malt. Finish is quite nice. Dry and bitter. An ok lager that finishes better than it starts.

Pours with a four-fingered white head that fades slowly and leaves good lace. A golden color. Nose has a hint of skunkiness maybe it is because of the green bottle. Starts hoppy/bitter, finishes hoppy and bitter. Very good carbonation. Light to medium bodied. $1.90 for 500ml.

Big aroma out of the bottle. Gold colour with decent but inconsistent head and light lacing. Strong hop character leans towards a pilsner. Underlying sweetness. Better than average lager but not stellar.

Golden. Malty aroma. Very mild in flavor. Soft, cereal flavor. But...standard.

From the Sharp Edge European Beerfest: Kind of a thin watery lager. Luckily, my people are better at vodka then they are at beer.
