Golden straw yellow color with a thin white persistant head. Massively skunky aroma with hints of burning embers, musty. Flavor is mildly sweet, not as much as I’d like for this style. I get some smoke here as well, it’s light but present, quick dry finish that’s reasonably innoffensive. Bland overall, but drinkable, you could do a lot worse with this style.

Clear bright golden beer, with a near white head, bubbly small lacings. Aroma; grass, metal, pale malts, grains and wort, ginger. Taste; bread, malts, grass, grains, half bitter tones. Normal on palate. Bready-bitter finish, not bad. [50cl green btl abv5.2, t@home on my ukrainian wife’s birthday]

19th June 2014: to celebrate England’s defeat in the world cup again I decided to have a Ukrainian lager. 500ml green bottle from ’Beers of Europe’. Poured three times into an old Schoss Brau stemmed tulip. Looks like a Pale Lager, smells like a Pale Lager and tastes like a Pale Lager. A bit sweet and almost odourless, just like a Pale Lager. Dry slightly bitter finish, almost refreshing, just like a Pale Lager.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Hazy gold with white wave. Corn, some wet paper and wort aroma, bitter with artificial flavouring in the mouth. Medium body, a little dry finish.
