This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a transparent strongly carbonated dark brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy and dark malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish. The thin flavor contained notes of hops and brown malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

Aug 20, 2008 Dark brown with reddish hue, tan head that vanishes fast. Smells like dark bread dough, really malty, sweet, very much like pumpernickel bread. Soft, highly effervescent mouthfeel. Nice, sweet, mellow, smooth. A little too sweet but not bad overall.

Aug 14, 2008 1L plastic bottle from Tallinn. Dark brown clear with minimal head that diminishes entirely. Very unpleasant aroma, can’t say what it is. gives a doubtful feeling in stomach. Not bad flavor some sweetness and a hint of hops. Sour end fizzy and light mouthfeel. Plastic bottle is not good. Coke also is better from a glass bottle.

Aug 10, 2008 I thought this was a very nice dunkel. This beer is very rich and has a nice toffee/caramel flavor. There are no major brewing flaws I can detect and it is very clean and smooth. Good job Ukraine.

Aug 9, 2008 Pours an absolutely gorgeous ruby red color with a finger’s worth of a short-lived off-white head. Aroma is a different story tough. Smells kind of like bad malt. Something funky there. Flavor is a little malty, but mostly watery. Pretty unimpressive Wouldn’t toss it out of bed for eating crackers, but wouldn’t go out of my way to find it either..

Jul 18, 2008 In the 0.5L bottle from HyVee CB. Pours a clear dark brown with a thick off white head that sublimates rapidly. Has a chocolatey roasted aroma that is not overwhelming, but definitely present in the chilled beer. Flavor is surprisingly good with its malted milk chocolate shake taste. This has somewhat a smooth silky palate for such an inexpensive beer. A real value, I’d have it again.
