Ungstrup (29367) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2003
The aroma is very sweet with notes of yeast, hops, and grass - somewhat weird. The color is orange and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is sweet and somewhat like the aroma yeasty, malty, grainy, and hoppy. It has an OK bitterness. The body is somewhat thin. This is an international lager with a little more taste than most - but still boring.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Quite pale with an impressingly huge and stable head. Very pronounced bitterness making this quite a fresh experience. But the body is very light and watery and hence you end up with a somewhat unbalanced lager. 061004

Bottled (From bierzwerg.de). Golden colour with a small longlasting foamy head. Also some slight lace. Aroma is hay, cardboard, some grass and mild bready and grainy notes. Flavour is being rather similar with also some rather strange sweetness. Not the worst of beers from Ukraine, but still quite far from being pleasant.

Full bodied, clean and bitter. Rather sweet, rather unremarkable, but with no obvious faults.

Bottle. A clear, pale golden beer with a small, white head. A bit rubbery on the nose, luckily disappearing quickly, followed by grains, lemon notes and some fruity hints. Grainy flavor with some lemon. Bitterness is weak, with pinecones. Medium to thin mouthfeel, and a finish with decent bitterness. Hop extracts? A slightly unclean beer, but far from undrinkable. Just very industrialised and dangerously boring. (090221)
