It is highly stable beer with special freshness and saturation. It has a distinct taste and nice bitterness. In brewing of Obolon Premium rice is used beside traditional beer components. Due to its soft flavour and medium content of solids Obolon Premium is one of the most popular beers. 12P

A typical European lager. Bitter taste, and a slight aftertaste. Better than many imported lagers, and certainly better than most east European beers, with the exception of Czech beers. Not quite as good as the other well-known Ukrainian beer, Slavutych.

A step or two above the Lager - not the ubiquitous skunkiness usually found in green bottles that sail across the ocean. Flavor is crisp with a bit of maltiness peeking through. Thin, nostly disipating white head - nice golden clear bubbly appearance. Worthy of it "Premium" moniker when compared to the Lager.

Bottled. Golden lager with a light head, the aroma is malty and dry and the flavour is metallic and malty. Overall a reasonable refreshing beer.

INteresting. Some poeple may beliueve or say Obolon beers are simple or regular within the eastern countries in Europe. Is not that they are real issue but taste decent and are easy to drink. This one was kinda sweet and soft.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2015 Serving: from tap at Vostok Dumpling House. Aroma: light, floral hop. Appearance: small, frothy, white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, sparkling, medium-yellow body. Taste: lightly bitter, initial flavor and lightly bitter finish with short duration. Palate: light body, oily texture and lively carbonation. Overall: excellent summertime beer. Thirst quenching with an interesting, hoppy taste.

The after its disinterment from the 500ml green bottle it sets in the glass a clear light gold or straw color if your so inclined, the head monolithic in size, a bright white in color and the texture frothy, as it erodes rather quickly, the residual lace forms a thin but encircling curtain to drape the glass. Nose is sweet malt, fresh and clean to the senses; start is lightly sweet with a light to moderate grain presence and the top light to middling in feel to the palate. Finish is worthwhile in its acidity; the hops are orthodox in their spiciness, quite dry aftertaste, a drinkable beer, refreshing in its own right.
