Bottle from Russian grocery near Artis, Amsterdam. Golden body with medium head. Nose is skunky, paper and eggy. Taste is malty, inviting, a bit drier in the finish. A fine lager with soft texture.

16.9 oz. bottle. Pale straw, clear, foamy white head. Aroma and taste of light malts and stale grass. Finish is watery, metallic, and mildly bitter. Bland.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Very pale golden yellow colour, thin foamy bubbles. Actually outperformed some quite low expectations, malt (and adjuncts) came out reasonably clean and there was a nice floral hop character which made it quite pleasant.

Pretty standard lager. Very light, clear colour and quickly disappearing white head. A bit hoppy, herby aroma. Medium carbonation and dry body. Average bitterness. Well, could be better, could be worse.

Pale gold colored beer with high but quickly disappearing head. Also it gashed out of bottle for about a minute. Rather malty aroma with slight traces of hops. Slight DMS. In taste it’s lightly bitter with light to medium sweetness. Medium carbonated. Typical boring lager.

Updating my records. From bottle in shaker glass. Clear and golden, easy drinking. An above-average lager.

DATE TASTED: November 7, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: 22 oz. pilsner... OCCASION: catching up after a whirlwind two days in Bloomsburg... APPEARANCE: a mostly clear, highly effervescent, golden body--the strange haze that misted in the bottle has been dispelled at the pour; the white two-finger head simmers to a frothy, half-finger, bubbly ring... AROMA: amazingly powerful--detected well away from the table--and beefy, with some funky warehouse and yeasty dough that overpowers the soft hops... PALATE: initially fizzy and active, but the buttery end softens the contact and resolves into an oily exit; light to medium-bodied... the finish fades apologetically... TASTE: due to the rice, not much of a profile...what does exist is a grainy, malty bitterness that is more pronounced than the label suggests; buttery notes also soften the experience... more likable than anticipated... OVERALL: as lagers from the Soviet bloc go, this is agreeable though uncharacteristically soft --the often harsh bitterness from this style is absent, and in its place is a slightly floral, reasonably satisfying lager...consider me pleasantly surprised ...
